Hello Amanda
Thank you for your comments on our survey. Elvis is so deeply loved by his fans; he offered all man kind love & respect. His music is timeless! His eagle costume is also a favorite of mine, the one I really think is ohhh just soooo “hot” is his black leather in the 68 comeback. Elvis was such a beautiful man; his smile is enough to drive anyone crazy for him. And as for his voice and personality wow, just a knockout! Once you’re an Elvis fan, you’re hooked forever! I bet it was quite a buz just going by his home Amanda. Of coarse it wouldn’t be enough for me; I can’t wait for the day I am able to take the trip to his mansion. Also thank you for your suggestions Amanda, it’s always great to hear of new ideas & what his fans have to say.

Zahra
From: United States
1. How and when did you first hear about Elvis Presley? : I was about 4 or 5 years old and my uncle Mike had Elvis Presley memorabllia all around his house such as plates, pictures, movies, clocks, anything and everything you could possibly think of.
He took my family and I to a concert remembering him and I saw him on this huge screen. I was in awe because it felt as if he were really there. My uncle bought me a shirt from the concert. I wish I had kept it, but it was starting to get really old and fading away. I wore it from where it would hang really low on me till it would show my stomach.
2. What was it that got you hooked on Elvis? : His presence on stage. His humor. He was a famous person, but he was also just like any other person in the world. I love everything about him.
3. If Elvis were alive, what would you like to say to him or ask him?
"My Message to Elvis": Marry me?
4. WHICH is your favourite Elvis Presley song or movie?
And why is it your favourite? : Wow..
I have so many favorites.
I guess I'll pick my favorite song as being Suspicious Minds.
His voice is mesmerizing, as it is in every other song.
I loved when he first started out too. The raspyness in his voice was so sexy.
5. Which is your favourite SUIT that Elvis wore on stage? : The black leather suit.
Oh yeah.
[:
6. Who do you think Elvis loved most in his life, his greatest love? : Of course, his greatest love was his mother, Gladys.
7. Where were you and what were you doing when you heard that Elvis had died? : I actually wasn't even born, but my mother remembers it all so well. She said she was at work with her step-mother and she was sitting at the bar. It was her 13th birthday and my mom was watching t.v when she heard the news. My mom bawled her eyes out.
8. Why do you think Elvis still attracts new fans every year,
even long after his death? : He has his many qualities about him that lure people in. You can't help but fall in love with him once watching a movie, interview, listening to one of his songs. He just had that affect on people. Without even trying, too. Haha.
Have you been to Graceland?...If so, would you like to share your experience or feelings on this site? : I've, unfortunately, never been.
I'm hoping to go for my 16th birthday, though.
Elvis was a trend leader and constantly "transformed" himself in his career, like Madonna & music stars are famous for doing nowdays.
Which are your favourite "Elvis eras" in his career? : Young raw musician,

Hello Zahra
Thank you for your comments and sharing your memories with us. Suspicious Minds is also a great favorite of mine. It is very difficult just choosing one favorite song or movie, but if you’re like me to list all favorites the page would be taken over with lots more. Elvis was totally amazing on stage; he was quite the showman who loved his fans as much as we adore him. Zahra, I really hope you get your birthday wish to visit his home, I’m sure it will be the best birthday ever. Elvis in his black leather, yeah I know what you’re saying…. SOOOOOO HOT !!!!!

(Now and then there`s a fool such as I)
This new feature of our ezine is for karaoke superstars & the fans that just like to sing-along with the King.
LYRICS:
Pardon me, if I`m sentimental
When we say goodbye
Don`t be angry with me should I cry
When you`re gone, yet I`ll dream
A little dream as years go by
Now and then there`s a fool such as I
Now and then there`s a fool such as I am over you
You taught me how to love
And now you say that we are through
I`m a fool, but I`ll love you dear
Until the day I die
Now and then there`s a fool such as I
Now and then there`s a fool such as I am over you
You taught me how to love
And now you say that we are through
I`m a fool, but I`ll love you dear
Until the day I die
Now and then there`s a fool such as I
Now and then there`s a fool such as I
Now and then there`s a fool such as I
5) Elvis Presley Forever:
Elvis Presley – High School And early Stardom
According to interviews with teachers and former fellow students at Milam Junior High school in Tupelo, Mississippi, noted Presley biographer Elaine Dundy in her book Elvis and Gladys wrote (p.124) that beginning in his early teens, Elvis embarked upon the "indefatigable pursuit of girls", but was totally rebuffed.
This may have contributed, at first, to his lifelong need for a beautiful woman to offset his feelings of inadequacy.
However, from looking at the numerous pictures of Elvis Presley starting at the age of 14, what is also quite evident is that the teenager who was usually dismissed, and rebuffed by girls his age, was not the extraordinarily handsome young man he indeed became, by age 20.
Therefore, it is not surprising that, between 1954 and 1956, the impoverished son of welfare recipients went from being shunned, and even mocked by some of the popular girls from his junior and high school days, to be the subject of adulation and adoration of some of the most beautiful girls in Memphis, then of young Hollywood starlets such as Natalie Wood and Connie Stevens.
Author Elaine Dundy wrote that actress Shelley Winters (usually considered a reliable source for Hollywood goings-on and who portrayed Gladys Presley in the 1979 made-for-TV movie Elvis) claimed the relationship between Presley and Natalie Wood developed into something more serious than what was generally reported in the media.
There were several significant relationships in Presley's life other than his one marriage to Priscilla Beaulieu.
They included Dixie Locke, a high school sweetheart who he met at his Assemblies of God Pentecostal church and was part of his life before and during his Sun Records time.
Locke was portrayed by actress Jennifer Rae Westley in the 2005 CBS TV miniseries Elvis. Anita Wood, another wholesome Christian girl whom Gladys Presley hoped he would eventually marry, was with Elvis as he rose to superstardom, served in the US military and returned home in 1960.
Wood lived at Graceland for a time but moved out after confronting him over Priscilla Beaulieu, the "girl in Germany." Although rarely giving public statements, in 2005 Anita Wood was interviewed by renowned television talk show host Larry King.
She told him that following media reports of a girlfriend in Germany, Elvis "had me believing that she (Priscilla Beaulieu) was just a friend and her daddy was in the Army with him, and there was nothing to it whatsoever."
Presley used his charm to persuade Anita to move back into Graceland, but she remained only a few months before leaving permanently. Elvis immediately began a short-lived affair with Anne Helm, his co-star from the film Follow That Dream.
Anne Helm (born September 12, 1938 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is an actress, author, and illustrator.
Living in New York City, she began pursuing a career as an actress which eventually led to Hollywood. Beginning in the 1950s she made guest appearances on different television series and made her motion picture debut in 1960. Three films later, she received national recognition as the love interest of Elvis Presley in his 1962 film, Follow That Dream.
During filming, she began a relationship with Presley and visited his home at Graceland after shooting finished. Miss Helm came to Graceland for a short time but her quick exit allowed for the entrance of Priscilla Beaulieu, who moved to Memphis in 1962.

7) Elvis Presley Trivia:
• In 1960, following his return from military service, the various employees hired by Elvis Presley to handle security and his concert tours were affectionately dubbed the "Memphis Mafia" by the news media. After his death several Memphis Mafia members wrote books on their time working for Presley.
• He was proud of his role in King Creole because the part was originally offered to his idol James Dean. Although songs were later slipped into the movie, Elvis considered it his best work.
8) Editor’s Notes & Fun Stuff:
Some humour to put a smile on your face!
A fellow from the city was driving through the country one day
when he came upon a quaint farmhouse alongside of the road - and
there was even a farmer standing out front. So the city boy
decided to stop and talk to the farmer.
"Good morning, sir," he said, "I was driving by, admiring the
country, 'cause I'm a city boy, and I couldn't help but notice
that you have a field full of cows on your farm. Now I've lived
in the city all my life and I've never tried any fresh country
milk. If it's all right with you, I'd like to try some fresh
country milk from your cows."
The farmer replied, "Son, those are bulls! You don't get milk
from bulls!!"
And the city boy said, "But I won't hurt your cows. All I want to
do is to try some fresh country milk."
The farmer had to try again, "Son, those are BULLS!! You don't
get milk from BULLS!!!"
But the city boy persisted, "Really, I won't hurt your COWS! I
just want to try some fresh country milk!!"
So the farmer reluctantly gave in, "Son, knock yourself out."
In a half an hour the city boy returned from the fields carrying
a pail of fresh country milk. The farmer scratched his head and
started to speak, but the city boy jumped in with, "You know,
while I was out in the field getting this lovely fresh country
milk, I saw a fence covered with honeysuckles. And you know, I've
been city boy all my life and I've never had any fresh country
honey. If it's all right with you, I'd like to try some fresh
country honey from your honeysuckles."
And the farmer replied, "Son, honeysuckles are flowers. You get
honey from bees."
But the city boy persisted, "I won't hurt your flowers. I just
want to try some fresh country honey."
So the farmer tried again, "Son, honey comes from BEES!"
But the city boy was adamant, "Really, I won't hurt your FLOWERS!
I just want to try some fresh country honey!!"
And the farmer reluctantly gave in again, "Son, be my guest."
In a half an hour the city boy returned with 2 mason jars full of
honey. The farmer scratched his head harder than before and
started to speak. Just then the city boy said,
"You know, I'm a city boy - been a city boy all my life. Now
while I was out getting some of that fresh country honey, I
noticed that you also have a field full of pussy willows ..."
"Hold on son," interrupted the farmer, "let me get my hat."
