For some reason, when I turned 30 I became a teenager again and it wasn't really by my own will, it just happened. I married and had my first baby at 21, so I had it together early on. But I started acting about 15 again when I turned 30. So I guess that makes me 19 now.

2) Elvis Presley & other Legends

Speedway

Speedway is a 1968 action film starring Elvis Presley as a racecar driver. Parts of the film were shot at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina and features the guest appearances of several of the top NASCAR drivers of the day.

Elvis burns up the tracks with Nancy Sinatra. She plays an Internal Revenue Service Investigator, who catches up with Elvis about his unpaid taxes. Bill Bixby plays Elvis’ somewhat shady manager. With two great singers like Elvis and Nancy, the plot takes a back seat to the great singing and dancing in the movie.

What was it that got you hooked on Elvis? : A couple years ago, my brother had just started being a big Elvis fan. My family forced me to go see and Elvis Tribute show, and I thought the Impersonator was just a doll, it changed my whole point of view on Elvis from there on. 3. If Elvis were alive, what would you like to say to him or ask him? "My Message to Elvis": I wouldn't say anything, I would let him live his life unlike he was able to back then with all the ridiculous girls and childish reporters. 4. WHICH is your favourite Elvis Presley song or movie? And why is it your favourite? : I have no favorite, for if I did you would call me crazy, because I don't just go around singing just one of his songs, or watching just one of his movies all the time. :) 5. Which is your favourite SUIT that Elvis wore on stage? : I really liked his beaded crochet jumpsuit, the beautiful yarn really brought out the color in each and every bead. 6. Who do you think Elvis loved most in his life, his greatest love? : Most of all you would know that Elvis loved his mother Gladys Presley oh so dearly. I also assume he loved Linda Thompson, his girlfriend after Priscilla, whom I know personally said that she regrets leaving Elvis. 7. Where were you and what were you doing when you heard that Elvis had died? : I was not around back then. I was born 17 years later. 8. Why do you think Elvis still attracts new fans every year, even long after his death? : It's ridicualous how every person out there thinks Elvis was a 'God'. They should have come to their senses and let him live life like a normal human being. I think his music would be something that attaracts people like me, for the others maybe not. Have you been to Graceland?...If so, would you like to share your experience or feelings on this site? : I have never been to Graceland, yet I am eager to go to Elvis Week 2009. Elvis has had a huge impacted on the world. Elvis was just amazing, his looks, voice, personality; he is just absolutely perfect in all areas. His music still has a great affect. I know once you’re hooked on Elvis, it’s a life time addiction. Even today he still has the power, Elvis Presley will be in our hearts forever his memory lives world wide. His music is from the heart. Elvis looked fantastic in everything he was absolutely gorgeous in any costume. Elvis Presley’s music is timeless and that’s why he is and will always be the KING. Jewels, I hope you get the chance to visit his home. I also plan to make the trip to his mansion some day, I believe its an unforgettable feeling and an experience to treasure.

DEEPEST LOVE-----LOST

A Deepest Love---Lost!!

~ He was born into poverty
On a dark Southern night
Tragedy had touched his life already
But he fought to hold on with all his might

~ Another baby like himself, lay by his side that night
But, went to Heaven to be with the Lord
Little did he know as he grew
One day he would be a "King", but scorned

Something was missing from his life

Couldn't fill the void, 'Satin's' death left in his life

~ So it was, as time went on
Pain overtook his body and mind
The doctor became careless with the "King"
Pills for the pain, all over one could find

~ This "King" who was loved by millions
Let these people control his very being
Though he knew, he was on a downhill road
This "King" couldn't control this thing

~ One day he would be, in front of millions in love
Then he slept, days turned into the nights
This "King" was spiraling out of control
No one knew of his plight

~ A wife, divorced, a daughter of nine
Nothing could stop self-destruction
On he went, afterall he was "King"
Until one day, even with his power, nothing more could be done

~ At two seventeen, in the afternoon
On the same day his 'Satin' left this world
He too went to be with God above
And his story was all unfurled

~ " The King" was gone, on August 16th, 1977
The entire world cried oceans of tears
For no longer would we hear , nor see
The voice of Black Velvet, the perfect "King"
The ELVIS the world had loved for years....

I seldom write a Preface or Postscript to my writing but, this year on January 8th, at 8:11PM he was born and would be 72… August 16th at 2:17PM , my Idol, "The King," will have been gone 30 years. This is my small tribute to him, my small way of saying....Thank you for the gift of You!! Rest In Peace
