1) Elvis Presley Quotes:
“When I was a child, ladies and gentlemen, I was a dreamer. I read comic books, and I was the hero of the comic book. I saw movies, and I was the hero in the movie. So every dream I ever dreamed has come true a hundred times...I learned very early in life that: ‘Without a song, the day would never end; without a song, a man ain’t got a friend; without a song, the road would never bend - without a song.' So I keep singing a song. Goodnight. Thank you.”
Lisa Marie Quotes
I like Jailhouse Rock and Love Me Tender. The black-and-white films. With music, I tend more toward the '70s stuff because I was at the shows for those, so they bring back memories.
2) Elvis Presley & other Legends
An American Trilogy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"An American Trilogy" is a song arranged by country songwriter Mickey Newbury and made popular by Elvis Presley. Presley began performing the song in concert in 1972—a February recording was released by RCA as a single.
Presley performed the song in his 1973 international satellite telecast "Elvis—Aloha from Hawaii". "An American Trilogy" is a medley of three 19th century songs—"Dixie", a blackface minstrel song that became the unofficial anthem of the U.S. South since the Civil War; "All My Trials", originally a Bahamian lullaby, but closely related to African American spirituals, and well-known through folk music revivalists; and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic", the marching song of the U.S. North during the Civil War.
The song is referenced and partially sung in the Manic Street Preachers' song "Elvis Impersonator: Blackpool Pier" from the Everything Must Go album, and is covered by Manowar on their 'Warriors Of The World' album.

Hello Tammie
Thank you for your comments on our survey. Its true Elvis still has an effect on our lives; also younger fans from around the world are so hooked on this man. Elvis has left an unmarked impression; he has touched the hearts of so many with his talent, looks, charm, & personality. How great you have been to his mansion, I bet it’s a breath taking feeling. I live in Australia, and plan to some day have my dream come true & visit his home. Elvis was certainly “hot stuff” in his black leather, his 68 comeback was fantastic. Tammie, I also love Suspicious Minds, it’s among my many favorite too.

How Great Thou Art
This new feature of our ezine is for karaoke superstars & the fans that just like to sing-along with the King.
Oh Lord my God when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds thy hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed
When Christ shall come
With shout of acclamation
To take me home
What joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow in humble adoration
And there proclaim my God how great thou art
Then sings my soul my savior God to thee
How great thou art
How great thou art
Then sings my soul my savior God to thee
How great thou art how great thou art
5) Fans Message To Elvis
"My Message to Elvis": Elvis, if you are here, I want you to know there is a young woman in England who is hurting real bad. She is one of the greatest voices ever recorded since the likes of Ella Fitzgerald (whom she sounds like) and Judy Garland. She sings RnB type rock n roll and if you hear/heard her, I know you will love her voice. She is not that pretty, rather bizarre looking, in fact. She needs a friend to save her life! A friend like you.
If you are still alive, and I am open to that possibility, maybe you ought to go to London and talk to Amy Winehouse. You know the hurting pain that got you into drugs. You know the agony of being famed, and yet, so alone. I heard you also loved to counsel your friends, were very giving of yourself. I heard that you were a spiritual man.
In reading biographies of you, I was impressed by the fact that you did not "hang out" with other musicians too much. I think maybe it would have helped you to be "hanging out" with other talented people. To keep challenging yourself, intellectually and musically. It must have been kind of lonely being the head of this pose of people who were all so dependent on you. Like Amy, you too, could have used a little help from your friends in Music World. When you died, they all came out of the closet and spoke so well of you, Elvis. From Elvis to Sinatra. From Debby Reynolds to Ann Margaret. Elvis was loved as an entertainer and respected as a person. Even President Nixon really liked you, and if you are alive, you know that you play an important role in Presidential Library of Richard Nixon. Everybody wants to see you standing with The President.
So, I have to say that there is so much I would love to converse with Elvis about, but right now, a young woman of enormous talent is dying and she needs to be saved by the likes of an Elvis. I often wonder if anybody could have given Elvis that "strong talking to" that was needed in last years of his life.
Thanks Frosty

7) From The Hearts Of His Fans
Dear Elvis:
I'm sorry you had to leave us when you did. I think it would have been painful to experience you dying anytime before my own death, for that matter. I followed your talent from the time I was just a little girl of seven to age 30. I want to thank you for the wonderful music! I was thrilled to be able to see you in Los Vegas while you were in your prime, back in 1971 or was it 1972?! Elvis, you were possessed of a god-given talent and voice the likes of which we have not heard from since. You were also aware of your ability to "move" people, to give us music that allows for emotional release of the "blues"; to "turn us on"! Oh, that you did real well Elvis, and I thank you Again!.
Thank you Frosty
8) Editor’s Notes & Fun Stuff:
Some humour to put a smile on your face!
What makes you truly happy?
First we need to determine what Happiness looks like for you.
What are the key pieces of a great and joyful life FOR YOU?
Almost 150 years ago, Henry Thoreau wrote that most people "live lives of quiet desperation" and sadly, I think that's still true.
All our wealth and freedom, our education and military power, even our access to the wisdom and literature of past generations has not created a society in which most people are "happy".
Indeed, many people seem to be incredibly unhappy. With all this freedom to create the life we truly want, why aren't more people happy?
I think this is a vital question. It may even be THE question for modern adults to ponder and answer.
Given that you can live almost anywhere you choose, read and learn almost any skill, and have pretty much any lifestyle you want, WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?
What are your happiest memories?
What are your happiest fantasies, dreams and aspirations?
Who do you know who seems to be truly, massively happy?
What makes you happy?
At the end of life, WHAT IS IT that will let you say, "I did it right. I made good choices. I am HAPPY with the way I lived my life!"
Whatever your answer, in the coming days and weeks, DO MORE OF THAT, and less of everything else.
- Phillip Humbert
The problem in my life and other people's lives is not the absence of knowing what to do, but the absence of doing it.
-- Peter Drucker
If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost. Now put foundations under them.
-- Henry David Thoreau
It is never too late to be what we might have been.
